I saw this pair of BNSF SD60s in Dalhart, Texas (up in the northern panhandle, and a bit of a hub for the UP and BNSF - UP has a yard there) last week while driving through. Fresh paint, and spotless. Not sure where they were painted, but given the pristine finish, they couldn't have come far. These engines went out of production 24 years ago, but obviously BNSF is keeping them fresh, and intends to keep them working for a long time to come. For fans of grain elevators, there are several classic ones along the tracks in Dalhart. The SD60s were next to the first elevator pictured.
