Often those little bootstrap plugs come up missing in action. I posted a potential solution previously of using a red or blue but connector with a wire crimped on one end. We now have come up with a much better solution. Try using a 2.5MM power plug. This not only will work for switch power, but with both wires soldered on the plug, you can also add track power, which therefore provides a nice center rail power tap for your layout. Wiring is pretty straight forward, the center conductor of the plug is wired with switch power, and the outer conductor is wired for track power. Works great. check out photos. For purposes of explanation, the first photo the plug is not inserted all the way. On some of the newer switches, you may have to use the 2.1mm plug. We sell these guys currently only on Ebay, but soon on our site (WWW.Tinman3rail.com) in lots of 6 for $15, but if you are a little adventurous, you can easily make your own. We now incorporate the wiring for these as part of the wiring to the remote control.
