Aaaaah, but it's comfortable though, with a nice soft couch, recessed lighting, A/C, and a room-filling Stereo system.

900 pounds! Sounds like a very thick slate deck. How thick?

HEY MATT,

My table has three Slates.  I believe that each one weighs 200 to 250 pounds; I can't remember.

Anyway, I now wish that I had selected a standard 8'x4' table instead of the Tournamant size; it would have given me more clearance for the layout.

Cheers,

Yikes. Sound like that could 3-4.5" of slate under the felt. When I was growing up, half the homes on the block had pool tables. They'd grab six to eight of the boys on the block to help move and level a table. Real fun because everyone was in love with slate. The lightest table was one neighbor's that was a 7-foot which took six of us to bring in and set up when he bought it. Needless to say, all of the kids could play pool. Since we had more spare time to practice, the dads didn't stand a chance.

As for the trains, did you say the mountainous boulders were sprinkler valve covers? I was looking for some and couldn't seem to find any.

Kids don't know nearly as much as we know...they have limitations.  We don't!

So "overgrown kids" is not what we are, my friends!

HEY HAL

Lets see, I played Army for more than 25yrs. due to injuries I was told my days of jumping out of airplanes was over, Was not allowed to carry 130lbs rucks, Told to walk not run, and was no longer deployable, and my hearing was shot. So much for having fun. Time to grow up. Dropped my retirement papers, had a couple of surgeries performed with 5 more to go. Started to look for a real Job within my limitations, So yeah May of 2013 I had to grow up. Bottom line is  when it come to trains, I am an overgrown kid with knowledge.   Look at you, your still ridding a minibike at you age.

Mr. Suzukovich:

I had no idea that you went through such unfortunate experiences.  I was in the Army too, from 1960 to 1962, US and S. Korea, Signal Corps.

Were you an Officer or EM?

I sold that Whizzer motorbike 4 years ago, and now I'm too old (age 78) for 2 wheels anymore.

When you spend most of your career in Tank, LRS, Special Operation units, constant  deployments , and jump out of airplanes **** happens. I wouldn't trade it for the world. I just wasn't home a lot. And you know there are many of us out there and there will be more in the future.

Were you an Officer or EM? I worked for a living. NCO

That Whizzer was only 2 years old when I bought it in 2007.   It was only 5 years old in the photo.

The first generation Whizzers were built in 1948, and sold for $200, bike and motor.
