Had a very enjoable day with the members of the Boston Metro Hi-Railers. Great job with the L-Girder bench work. Spiral curves are all banked. Trains look & run great on layout. First time I've seen 5 TIU's mounted in neat little brackets with computer fans running to keep cool. Pretty neat. Here's some Pics. I'm sure Jim Q will post a lot more pics with the gang that was there.

Both Dotty and I had a great time today at the layout.  Everything ran perfect and it was great to see how DCS and Legacy/TMCC do co-exist on the same layout with no problems.  The scenery will be awesome when finished.  John put up some great pictures and they represent what high quality benchwork is like.  All the members were great and answered any questions that might come up.  Myself and others took note of the cooling fan set up that was used with the TIU.  Job well done.  A great idea for long running.

I know Dotty took some pictures of that and I will get them on this post Sunday.

Great job guys.  Please keep us posted when the next open house is.

I enjoyed my visit to the new Wilmington location.  The club guys (and women) were great. Thank-you.

I'm amazed at the effort this club exerted to move this layout that was never designed to be moved -- and did it as fast as they did.

Ben, great that the fans worked good for you...  Did the TIUs principally overheat or drop output voltage or what prior to the fans?  Do they operate longer now?  We are going to install air filters since, as I mentioned before, we are doing a good job of pumping dust into them now...  but that does not seem to affect operation...

Keep me informed of your experiences with the fans and I'll pass it on to the BMHR Chief Engineer... we'll also keep you informed especially when we get the air filters installed...
