I used some to make a reproduction of a Marx dealer display layout some years ago. Easy to use, but if I did it again I would prime the piece a similar solid color first. The base color was a little thin.

Hi again,

I am trying to research the colors used on the 122 station.  I was wondering if anyone has any experience in restoring a station could help out with the translation of the original colors to any commercially available spray paints?  As mine has the speckle painted base, per Greenberg the walls would be Salmon but mine looks closer to a brown, which per Greenberg would be a semi-dull State brown.  Any assistance with a modern version of these colors would be greatly appreciated.

The cream colored trim shoud be pretty easy to match at one of the big box store hoe stores.  i realize that the speckle paint will not be an exact match, but I will try to get as close as I can.  I would prefere to restore it to what the colors are on mine and not change the color scheme on a different type.

   Thanks,

Hi,

Another question for you all would be your opinion on the base plate paint.  As the base is currently speckled, my chances of matching that paint are pretty darn slim.  Would it be better to paint it a gray color as one of the different types of the 122 was done in, or still use a speckle paint, knowing that it is not a good match?  I would stil paint the walls the salmon type color, since that is what mine currently has.

   Thanks,

     Kevin
