Hey all:

Bought my first GG1, a 2340 that's been restored. Couple questions-

1) there's a couple chips around the edges, what is a close model paint to the lionel version of Tuscan red?
2) one of the pony trucks is bent so that the wheels don't meet the track- has anyone seen this, and should I replace the truck or just try repairing it? The coupler works when power is applied.

Thanks in advance for any help/advice

I say just buy a report truck if you got no cash flow,or buy a real postwar one if you got ten more bucks.Once they are bent, they are like a car that's been in a wreck,it just never the same. You can probably straighten it,but it still is not like factory. It will jump around on you in switches ....etc...Get on the bay and buy one.Or check out Henning's or One of our many fine postwar parts suppliers
