Ok, I was bidding on an Atlas NYC FM Erie-built, and thinking to myself, wow, these are hard to come by. Well, I didn't win (bummer).
BUT! I had a BRAINSTORM (or brainfart, depending how you look at it)...
I have an AB set of NYC PAs from Lionel AND a AA set of Premier PAs from MTH (That I've added TMCC to)... Since ALCo "cut and pasted" their PA bodies and 244s onto an Erie-built frame and trucks from GE, can I do the same?
I see that Atlas O sells the NYC FM Erie-built shells on their website, and can I swap them onto either the Lionel or MTH powered / dummy frames? MTH preferred...
