Just had a news report issued for a bridge fire over the Ohio River. The burning bridge connects southern Indiana with Louisville. Ties seem to be the main fuel, however railcars stopped on the bridge and sitting on the rails where the ties are burning may be igniting.  Loads seem to be large containers on flat cars.  This is current as of 6.30 pm eastern time.  WHAS TV 11 says information is available on their website  -  a helicopter is flying over the scene, no fire-fighting equipment visible yet.  WHAS 11 NEWS (abc)

Recent news updates identify the train sitting on the bridge as Norfolk Southern;  at least two railcars and their intermodal containers burned and the ties and bracing under these cars are falling into the river.  Lots of pictures (slideshow) and some video of fighting the fire at WAVE 3 NEWS and WDRB 41 News.  Google these to see what's happening.  I'm not sure how to attach to these posts, maybe someone else can do that if interested.  This is the old K & I bridge - locals say its older than dirt.
