Hi everyone, I know its crude, but I couldn't wait forever for Menards to bring me my Brewery. So I had this old building just sitting around, had a few empty cans laying around. Maybe that's how this got done who knows! LOL but here it is!

Looks good. Better then Menards.
That's a cool brewery, and it has the elements that make a brewery look good.....19th century brickwork, a loading dock, appropriate signage and a water tank on the roof. Menards should take a cue.
Here's an old photo of my "brewery district". These were both pre-built structures by Elfin Models that I bought in the early 2000's. They are marked for J&J Brewing. The beer haulers are by Corgi, for the most part.

Thanks Doug, I'm sure if Menards comes out with one I will jump on it and turn the building into something else.
John, I really like your Brewery district! I am going to have to take some truck and rename them for COORS!
Very nicely done Mike. Menards please take note of the architecture of Mike's brewery - IT'S NOT MODERN.
Looks great and I will drink to that
Nice job Mike!
Joe
Nick, Thanks for your kind words, I know its not modern, but I think it would work on any layout!
Ron, as you can tell by the signs I have drank to that! Thanks!
Joe, From someone who does this for a living it really means a lot to me! Thank you very much!
Looks Great Mike !!! And, the right brand too! 5 stars on this one..
Thanks Bob, I try to stick to what I know! and boy do I know COORS! Wish I had the cash for one of there trains! LOL
Mike not being modern fits my era. I'm always disappointed when Menards keep coming up with all that modern stuff. I just hope that when and if they do offer a brewery it won't look like some non descript bright colored shoe box and has some personality to it.

Maybe they will look at mine, like I said I think it would fit in any era!
Structures built as far back as the 1940's and even earlier are still in existence today and when modeled fit any era. The modern stuff only fits the present day era. The modern stuff won't be getting any of my $'s.
Mike,
It looks good. I am sure it is going to give Guinness a run for the money.

Really beautiful job Mike! I love doing Ameritowne buildings and making them into unique structures as you have done with this one! The details are really nice! I figure it was at least a 2 six pack project! LOL
Play Trains it might have taken me 2 six packs to think of it, but only one to do it! LOL
Mike, nice looking building. Your patience ran out waiting for Menards huh. Looking at the pic that is two buildings turned into one right. And which building did you use..............Paul
Hi Paul, as far as I know its a single building as it was given to me from a fella that was getting out of trains. All I did was paint the doors and shutters, added the COORS labels, and added some LED's. The hardest part was cutting the labels from empty COORS cans! LOL
Thanks for the info Mike. Hope you emptied the cans before cutting them LOL. I printed out that Rainier Brewery picture for future use. The configuration of the buildings caught my eye. A lot of different sized buildings in a small space.........Paul
I agree Paul, but I am not that good of a modeler.
Paul,Mike, I believe that is a lightly kitbashed Ameritowne Homestead Furniture building. Coincidentally I'm in the process of playing with one now so recognized it! As I said, great job changing it!
Mike G. You'd have to have an animated Miller (not the beer) sign of some kind. What would it look like? I thought of either a can/bottle being poured into a glass or a can/bottle, with the brand name on it and a full glass with bubbles rising.
Steve
Some would argue that it's not really a brewery, because Coors Light is not really beer.
The Grain Belt Brewery in Minneapolis was a nice one, and at least this part is not so large that it couldn't be modeled in a reasonable space.
Nice job Mike. This is my tinplate version of my favorite brew.
Thanks Chris, means a lot coming from you! You have a wonderful layout, I am always checking out the pictures and videos you post!
I used a similar structure kit to bash a fictitious Colorado brewery. I am amused by all the other posters who also do not want modern structures. "Light" beer signs sets it into fairly recent times, if that is your intent.
Hi Colorado, the Light beer sign was on purpose, I am going to be modeling recent times as that is what I know. No steam engines, all diesel engines and modern building.
Looks Great Gene, Way to tie everything together!

Now that's a nice Brewery! It would go great on any layout!
Mike having had the opportunity to attend Trainstock a number of times I can tell you that Ben's Ballantine brewery is truly a site to behold. As far as go great on any layout it better be a pretty big layout. I bet that brewery takes up almost an entire 4x8 area of the NJHR empire.
