Great news! Now I have another Florida railroad to model...All Aboard Florida has announced the name of the high speed rail service it is creating initially between Miami and Orlando, and it provided models (appears to be HO scale). Maybe we can get an O gauge model someday.

Brightline is supposed to begin in 2017 and will reach speeds of 125 mph - not a high speed rail technically, but efficient and also not government funded. The trains are being built by Siemens.  for more:

Yes, exciting times in south florida! I recently found out that the Regional Transportation Authority, otherwise known as Tri-Rail, has put in motion an expansion of its commuter rail operations utilizing the FEC rail corridor from Miami to Jupiter,FL This will be known as the Tri-Rail CoastalLink. what this means is that in addition to the 32 trains of the AAF(16 north/16 south) there will be approximately 20 commuter trains( 10 north/10 south) PLUS the FEC freights daily!!. The only good thing is that the expansion will not take place till 2018 at the earliest. There will be over 20 stations that will be built so that the downtown areas of all the cities that the FEC corridor runs thru will be served.

I believe the Tropicana OJ train runs on CSX track from Bradenton on the west coast just south of Tampa, through Orlando and north.

There is an additional operation over the FEC from a Tropicana facility in Ft. Pierce. This traffic is combined with the main train from Bradenton at Moncrief Yard in Jacksonville.

That juice train probably now uses the S-line through Wildwood and Ocala rather than the A-line through Orlando.
