I am still trying to get my Brill trolly with ps2 into learning mode.  I sent an inquiry into MTH on 4/10, got a quick response from them saying a CW-80 probably would not work a z400 should be ok.  I also told them I can not get it into neutral or to change direction, the instruction was to put set back to factory default.  Well the only way the manual says to do that is to put it into neutural which I can not do.  Anyone have any ideas how to get into neutral?  I responded to the MTH e mail which I received on 4.12 twice, on 4.13 and again on 4.16 but failed to hear back from them so far.

Thanks for any help you may offer.

sounds like you don't have DCS?
use your throttle lever to get it into neutral. just like all the other engines. lift the throttle push it back down quick lift back up it should be in neutral.
The PS2 brill has the crappiest owners manual I've ever seen in all the time I've been in model railroading
I think you have to actually go to the PS2 part of their website to get a handle on how to operate it as I recall.

Don't know about the trolley programing except that is is confusing but your main problem may be the CW-80. MTH does not recommend that transformer do to its output. If you can not come up with a different transformer try putting several light bulbs on the output to give it a load. The CW-80 has a tendency not to drop the output completely to 0 volts without a load.

Rick,

Believe me you'll be dead and gone before you get a e mail response from MTH.
Try calling them and ask for the tech department. I had a terrible time getting mine to do what I want and I have full DCS. I can only imagine how it'd be if I was using the transformer buttons.
in any case they can talk you thru it and issue a return if need be.
