Here’s a video of cab ride aboard a British Class 87 electric. Taped in 2000, the train is shown departing Carlisle for Penrith and it’s interesting to note how quickly the precipitation turns from rain to snow after leaving the city. The British use the term “Driver’s Eye” to describe cab ride programs and it’s easy to see why as we are literally looking over the Driver’s shoulder.
