I see Ray Ellen @ Vienna Station has acquired one of these British Marx sets according to his June listings. A little too high for my pocket at this time but a not-often-seen piece on this side of the Atlantic. I have a Silver link locomotive shell but very little British Marx in general. Ray also has all but one of the Canadian Pacific 8-wheel passenger cars too. Missing the Hamilton.

I think it was not mentioned here before: A series of 4 books on British Toy Trains is being written by Michael Foster. The second book is issued a few months ago and includes everything you wanted to know about British Marx (but it is not a price guide). See here a copy of the flyer:
