Broadway Limited O Scale Water Tower

What voltage does this tower run on AC or DC ? No mention in the install instructions that are clear ? The instructions have a DC example which says accessory AC ? On-line for the O scale version it says 12-16 Volts. For other scales it says 12 VDC.
