Phoned Malcolm on Saturday June 9, but no answer.

He's had several postings about his beautiful cabooses (cabeese?) recently so hopefully all is well...
The latest e-mail I have from him was on 6/7.
Perhaps he is just off the grid for a few days.
I think you will find, if you do some searches, that Malcom is/has given up the O Scale Hobby, due to family situations. He has been selling virtually everything, over on the For Sale or Trade Forum, over the last month or so. I remember him posting an announcement here on the 2-Rail Trains Forum, about two months ago, indicating he would be selling "all his stuff".
Yeah Malcolm is selling off his stuff....
If that is the case Hot Water, that would be a loss to the O Scale Community.
I hold hope that one day Brother Love will be able to reenter the hobby. I know I myself have done so several times in my world.
That's a shame--Malcolm is a gifted modeler.

Malcolm is a Southern Baptist Minister who lost his wife a while back before he came on the Forum. He is the most talented railcar and engine scratchbuilder I have been acquainted with in over 40 years of HO and O Railroading. I have five of his cab cars that he built from prototype photos.
We will miss his talent and I wish him well.
Dang, looks like I waited to long to get him to build a caboose. Looks like I will have to look at other ways now. Looks look I will have to look at Shapeways 3d printing and configuring the sides into several pieces to fit into the printable area
Hey guys,
I got an email a little while ago and found out I was placed on an APB!
First of all, nothing bad has happened. The layout is in limbo right now. I was going to turn it into a master suite (another one) but the contractor I have been talking to is trying to talk me out of it. He says strecthing all that plumbing the length of the house would be better spent on a new addition. His prices have confirmed that.
So the layout may be saved but I am still planning to thin the freight car herd.
Now, why you may ask? Well, I have been a widower for 4 1/2 years and all this that is going on involves a member of the female persuasion.
Need I say More???
Thanks for your concern and I will back once or twice a week. And she tells me she wants me to continue building cabooses because they are........wait for it.......cute.
Malcolm
Great news Malcolm--couldn't be a better reason to change course!
Cute Cabs--I reckon so!
Malcom
Great to hear from you and best wishes. You'll be welcomed back with open arms anytime
Mike
It is not good for man to be alone. Besides, if she thinks cabeese are cute there's really hope! I hope your addition goes well and your layout is just what she, er, both of you want.

Hey glad to hear all is well....and cute cabs?.....That is excellent...
I'm glad to hear you're doing well, Malcolm. I do hope you consider keeping the shortline layout -- it was top shelf (big shock from you, I know).
If you do keep on with the caboose scratchbuilding, I have a new project that I think would be up your alley. If not, that's cool too -- I'm just glad to hear things are good.
Cheers!
Brian
Ain't love grande?
er.. is that as in 'Rio Grande'?
That's great news Malcolm.....you get to stay in the hobby and your new friend thinks cabeese are cute! I like her already! Tom
Malcolm, That is great news.
Malcom,
I bet that the cabooses are not the only thing to be "cute".......
Glad to hear from you again.
Yves
Love, what can I say? You can have one or the other.
Looks like you are on your way to finding both.
Take care and good luck!
Absolutely wonderful. It is really good to hear some good news for a change.
Dick
Malcolm,
May your future be filled with beautiful cabooses, both 1:48 and 1:1 scale.
Paul
Good to hear, Malcolm. Wishing you all the best.
Hope she's got a cute caboose, Mal!!!
