My compliments to Bryce Manz, "Oscale_Trains_Lover" to you OGR Forum members, for his great Article in OGR Magazine's Run 315 entitled, "A Young Hobbyist's Christmas Vision".

Bryce's article was very articulately written and really captured and held my interest. Bryce and I have a lot in common. My interest in the railroad was also sparked by my maternal grandfather, William Schubert, who worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad (PRR) for 42 years and retired as a freight conductor in 1953, two years after I was born. I was immersed in PRR from as early as I can remember and developed a life-long love for the railroad.

The photos in Bryce's article are also superb! His modeling and eye for detail are great. I very much like that Bryce explained how he made some of the scenery in his layout such as the lake by enhancing Lemax water sheet and using real rock to "simulate" rocks. Also, his mentioning of the makers for his motive power and rolling stock as well as control system (DCS, Lionel Legacy) are things we O gauge train junkies like to know.

It is a real pleasure to know that our model train hobby is still in good hands with an enthusiastic younger generation. Bryce, thank you for sharing your layout and promoting our hobby so that it may endure for years to come.
