Finally got around to building this item (Atlas #6900) on a snowy Iowa day. Amazed at the precision of the parts, how well they fit together. Back in the day, late fifties, I built all kinds of kit car and plane models. Remember having to trim excess flash or sand edges down to get things to fit "perfectly".
Then there was that glue. I had to use Testor's thick mucilage cement, and no matter how sparingly applied, always seem to squish out and dried with bubbles, bumps or clouded clear pieces. Needless to say, those models held no special place in my heart, looked like ****, and were pitched come college time.
