Can't help in any detailed way. I had the PW version Burro crane, 3360 and serviced the motor years ago, I clearly recall the cab was a tight fit requiring very positive effort to remove. However, I don't recall how much of the crane was disassembled prior to removing the cab.
So my reply is more of a bump for your thread in the hope that the truly knowledgeable folks here can help you out.
Be patient and you will get all the help you need.
While you wait for "expert" help to arrive, here's LIONEL's Owner's Manual which describes removing the cab--refers only to the two screws (pp. 6-7):
Pingman, I Thank You much for your help.
Question: Why do you want to remove the cab?
To clean the shell and inspect the motor.
Pingman, shell was removed, just needed a little more pressure, front tab was holding it down, didn't want to crack shell with to much lifting pressure. Thanks for your help.
