April 11-12, 2015 - LCCA at Children’s Museum of Virginia in Portsmouth VA
The Lionel Collectors Club of America (LCCA) is proud to being going back to the Norfolk, VA area again for another LCCA Special Event. The LCCA invites you to bring your family, friends and neighbors to the Children’s Museum of Virginia in Portsmouth, VA on April 11-12 for LCCA Day at the Children’s Museum of Virginia, featuring Kids Run Trains train layout. This layout is designed to the new Lionel/LCCA FasTrack Modular Railroad standards. This layout is very interactive with a lot of hands on activities. We encourage kids of all ages to run these Lionel trains.

Please make your plans to be at the Children’s Museum of Virginia on April 11 & 12. This is a fantastic venue that offers an array of train and transportation related activities for kids as well as adults. The LCCA had a special evening event tour at this museum as part of our 2012 Annual Convention in Norfolk, VA. We are proud to be going back and having some fun with the Kids Run Trains Lionel/LCCA Modular Railroad layout. In addition to the KRT Lionel Collectors Club of America/Lionel Fastrack modular Railroad layout, the Museum is home to the Lancaster train collection. This a collection of amazing trains that surround a wonderful operating layout is located on the 1st floor and well worth the trip just to see it. We hope to see you there!
April 11, 2015 - Boston Metro Hi-Railers Club Layout Open House, Boston, MA
The Boston Metro Hi-Railers Club (BMHR), The Lionel Collectors Club of America (LCCA) and Bob Freeman (Members of both clubs) invites you and your families to attend the Boston Metro Hi-Railers Club’s April 11, 2015 Open House event. Come to this event and enjoy their massive layout during this Open House on Saturday April 11,2015 from 10AM-4PM. A donation of $5/adult or $10/family will be accepted at the door. Food will also be available for purchase. Their 60'x40' multi-level layout will be running numerous Steam and Diesel trains covering all ages of Railroading. There will be 2 Children's layouts where all kids will be able to experience hands-on operation of running the trains. BMHR members will be available to discuss the design and implementation of the layout and the spectacular scenery which is under development. So if you are in the area, please make your plans now to attend this family friendly, Lionel train filled event.

Also, as part of the LCCA’s 45th Annual Convention to be held at the Double Tree Hotel in Danvers MA July 20-25, 2015, we are also planning a Saturday 7-25-15 tour of the BMHR Club and layout. The auction will be held in Westminster, Colorado at The Ranch, 11887 Tejon Street, with viewing at 8 am each day; the auction will begin at 9 am each day. The Colorado Toy Train Group, LLC (CTTG) and Lionel Collectors Club of America (LCCA) are co-sponsoring their 11th toy train auction, 11 and 12 April 2015. The auction will be held in Westminster, Colorado at The Ranch, with viewing at 8 am each day; the auction will begin at 9 am each day.
Bidders will have over 750 lots of O, S, and HO Gauge trains, books, scenery items, and more to bid on. The toy trains come from a diverse selection of manufacturers, including Lionel, American Flyer, Atlas, K-Line, MTH, Williams, American Models, S-Helper, and others.
Notable in the O-Gauge trains are a number of desirable engines including a 224e, 225e, 226e, 726, 736, and a 746. O-Gauge fans can bid on over 100 lots with engines and 500 lots with freight & passenger cars, accessories, and more!
For our S-Gauge friends, they have the opportunity to bid on 30+ engines and 60+ lots of freight and passenger cars. Notable engines are the AF 290, 302, 303, 312, and 353.
