I bought on line a box of 18 junk Lionel cars for $16.99 and found a Flat Car #6817 in this mess. Looking it up & repairing it went from maybe $.79 cents to now over $400,00. This car only needed to be cleaned up and applied a ALLIS CHAMBER 260 Scraper on it with total repairs of $49.00.

LHS got a HUGE lot of NOS accessories and building marked at great prices. I couldn't pass up a few items.
I also got this little Marx? through truss bridge for $3 for the Christmas layout.
@Train Nut wonderful looking train, but either way I am a fan of your as you still watch M.A.S.H!

Good catch! Been a big fan since I was a kid. My wife is a fan too . They don't make shows like that anymore. I still get my fix if I'm home twice daily. Morning on TV land, and nightly on METV.
The latest pickups are Southern E6s in A-B-B and Santa Fe SD45. We are pleased with both.
My wife and I went to the Mesa swap mart and this followed us home.
Very nice metal sign for under $10.
Some of my recent purchases.
First is a MTH Construction Company flat car that came from forum sponsor Trainz.com sans load, I believe it should have been a scraper, which was fine since I was in the market for an empty flat car. I've got several NLOE club offerings of TOFCs with tractor and needed a flat to move the tractors. The tractor pictured is from my latest purchase below.
Another trip back to Long Island and another lunch with Bob, @RSJB18, joined by Mark Spadaro, another trip to a hobby shop, this time forum sponsor Train Land, and another purchase to bring home to Myrtle Beach. A WBB 70 Tonner in a garish Tropicana paint. You know me I like color and have 3 Tropicana reefers to pull behind it.
Most of the latest in one photo.
While waiting for Tropicannie to be retrieved I saw this handcar and had to have it. It's destined for my 30 year old son who was just crazy about Buzz Whiteyear when he was 3 or 4 and just adopted a pair of cat brothers and renamed them Buxx and Woody
Latest purchase another NLOE club TOFC, this time a Republic Aviation tanker with tractor shown above on a red LIRR flatcar to go along with the two Grumman TOFC and the NY Islanders TOFC i already have.
Looks like I need another NT Construction Company flat for two more tractors
Just delivered from Metca, another winner and a great addition to my "Presidential Special" consist that travels ahead of the President.
So far it consists of the Air Force One Engine, matching tank car, (now) matching Caboose, two flat cars carry both beasts and other support vehicles, a flat w armed humvees, the Union Pacific Flag Baggage Car (custom painted to add the door colors) and the K-Line Defense Special Observation Car. Two of the flats are DODX. (Thanks Beth)
A video will come after Christmas, some components being used on the Christmas display.
Regardless, the Air Force One livery is pretty cool.

Hi guys I went on a little road trip with the brother in law and his wife to Branson Mo, while the ladies were shopping all the fancy stores I was looking in Pawn shops and came across this `1953 Chevy Corvett! I was able to pick it up for $14.00. It is 1/43 scale but will still work on the layout!
Merry Christmas everyone, and in homage to my British colonial upbringing, Happy Boxing Day, LOL. I purchased these MTH subways sets "for Christmas presents" for myself the last two months and then hid them away. Opened them under the tree yesterday and was totally surprised when I opened the boxes and saw what Santa Claus delivered for me.
Just took the photos this morning. R12 in the Two Tone Gray; R17 in the classic 1970s Silver/Blue; and R21Red w/Silver tops, all in excellent never run condition. Lucky me. Now to get the BCR batteries.
My subway binge buying is done for the time being.
My lovely wife surprised me on Christmas with my Holy Grail engine. It’s a Lionel Reading Company T-1. For years I have been checking these out but hesitant to “pull the trigger “ on making the purchase.
Operating in stealth mode my wife had it delivered to a friend’s house; Rick who has been doing the wiring for my layout. It was then wrapped and she hid it under our bed 😮. This is by far my favorite all time gift.

Thanks Bob, she got a kick out of that.
Afternoon guys!
@Amfleet25124 Kevin great looking set of cars! I bet they are going to look wonderful on your layout!
@Tranquil Hollow RR Jay I really wished you lived closer, then maybe your wife and mine could be friends and your wife could teach her how to shop for trains! Lucky man!
Excellent idea Mike and you should have moved further east to Pennsylvania. My wife is a retired educator so perhaps some remote teaching can take place.
Lionel North Pole Central Milk Train. Just received this today!
Very nice set, I like the sound sets used. The caboose is not included in the set.
Christmas gifts count, right? Anyways, some time ago someone on the forum shared a picture of a K-line boxcar, and I decided that since I like battleships and the USS New Jersey (go check out their youtube channel) that I should look into getting one. It just happened to arrive via Christmas present.
If I recall correctly, K-Line Super Store cars were only available from that Super Store and the store must have been involved with the art work since they were all different. That being said I don't believe there was a battleship series.
This isn’t as cool as a new engine but it fits my Chicago themed layout. Plus some personal history of me.
This model of the Weber Wagon ( my last name) was made in Chicago starting in the 1840’s. In 1904 it was bought by International Harvester, the company I retired from.
I’m looking forward to putting this together and putting it on the layout as a historical display.
May not be as Kool, but a Heck of a lot harder to find and buy
As a NE railroad aficionado I needed some Susquehanna representation in my fleet. Found this gently used Atlas 6486-2 at Zitnik Trains for $24 ! The fact that USPS took 26 days to get it to me was not the dealer’s fault. I did breath a sigh of relief when it showed up in great shape 😀. Rich
This is a Christmas Eve arrival from the good folks at the TCA which seems to have scared away all the snow we’ve had recently (and, yes, I’m following the recent thread on problems with the board - just had a chance for a couple of loops around the layout, but no smoke!!!). As a snow plow, by definition, it’s cool

From October to this month I picked up about 6 engines in total with one being a set.
The first 2 I got the 2 Atlas O Premier SD45s back in October.
I also got this Union Pacific SD24 that i used to have 9 years ago, I got it for a good price for an early MTH Proto sound 2.0 model.
Around Black Friday, I got The Lionel Christmas Candies Dockside Switcher and the MTH UP SD45. The Lionel Dockside set alone was worth the price, For a Small diecast engine with TMCC (lion chief + 2.0) with some cars and a caboose, The price was good.
Then the final engine I got was the Southern Pacific SD50, A model I used to have 9 years ago that i have been looking for for over 2 years now.

From our friends at Michael's and LeMAx. Like everything else model train related I didn't need nor have room for more scenery and structures but I could not pass up some beer and brats nd a pre-lit tree is always nice. I just have to dig out my adapters to get them all lit up.

Your engines are really GREAT!!!
I follow your club on Facebook and am really impressed by your club's scenery. Do you have any or can you take any photos of the whole Hellgate bridge as well as closeups of the towers and iron work? If so, send the photos to me as E-Mail attachments. My E-Mail address is in my OGR Forum profile. I assume that it is scratch built, and the stonework of the towers are made using Scenic Express tunnel portals and walls. am I correct? I have always wanted to model the bridge for my own layout.
Thank you.

Even If it is Christmasy, It would make a **** of a good night light the rest of the year
One of the older MTH Galloping Geese railmotors. I always thought these things were a bit odd then came across a guy on youtube by the name of Hyce who works at the Colorado Railroad museum which has 3 of these, one of which is operational, who explained the history of the real ones and at that point I had to add one to the collection.
Of course after I unwrapped this thing on Christmas Day I check the MTH website and see they're doing re-runs next year... No matter! I'll get one with a prototypical paintjob and run it alongside this one, maybe even swap the shells since the tooling will likely be the same. This one is a fictional paintjob but it's certainly more eyecatching than the plain silver the IRL geese were.
I just got Lionel's Prairie #531 PRR recreation of postwar 675 which is my favorite postwar engines. I've restored several.675s Lionel did a good job Very well done paint and LC features. But!! I truly love my "old" 675s I love their massive weight and their ongoing need for futzing around to keep them going.
Thanks very much for the photos. They give me an idea of what I have to do to build one myself.
That is the joy of this hobby. WE can glean ideas from others or even with their free help we learn to see things we would not have seen but not being where they are. Back in my HO days somebody did a picture of the Lowe Mountain railway. with a super sharp curve over nothing but air for hundreds of feet. I had to do it myself for my narrow-gauge branch of my railway. Just because it was there
A while back I had posted this MTH Construction Company flat to provide transport for some Nassau Lionel Operating Engineers tractors from several of the TOFCs they had produced.
Having three TOFCs and looking for a fourth I knew I would be needing another flat. As each of the LIRR flat with the trailers was a different color I figured another on of these gray MTH flats would be keep the train from getting to garish but then I found this LIRR flat on eBAy for a very fair price. I like it but I have two issues, the ties are glued on so I'll have to work on taking them off without damaging anything and the car, intended for MOW service is a bit shorter than the MTH car. I'll have to see if two tractors can fit on the shorter car. Either way it'll find it's way into service somehow.
Just got my Lionel Halloween F19 and Lionel AEC set yesterday. No more buying until the new Lionel catalog comes out.

Just got mine as well. Like you I love my old Lionel "Pacific" 2-6-2 675s and 2025s. Wrong wheel arrangement for the true 4-6-2 Pacifics but Lionel's 1946 renditions ran incredibly smooth and in my opinion looked great too. They are quite a heavy chunk of metal. On this Lionchief edition I like the Pennsylvania Brunswick green color scheme as well as the smoke grey smoke box and Tuscan red cab roof and red cab window grates. This engine runs smooth as silk and smokes great. The engineer and fireman figures and backhead are nice additions. The tooling is a perfect exact replica of Lionel's original 675 and 2025s. My only criticism is that the whistle and bell sounds on my engine are not loud enough for my liking. The announcements however are crisp and clear. Lionel did a very good job on this engine.
This scale brass weaver popped up on ebay for an unusually low price. Listed as "Weaver O scale, 3-rail, New York Central Hudson streamlined steam engine 4-6-4" using pics from a Trainz listing. Seemed like a scam but the seller had good feedback and was a long time member. Ebay also has great buyer protection so I gave it a chance. Well, it arrived today. The seller just sent the original box, no other packing, and it arrived safely.
Maiden voyage...now I need some passenger cars to match. I gabe it a quick oiling and checked the grease inside. The trailing truck needs more oil as it's still squealing a little bit.
I believe K-Line did the Coffin feedwater heater on some of their engines.
Rock Island doodlebug! Love the engine start on power up.
No pictures to post, but I took advantage of some pre-orders from @MrMuffin'sTrains and brought some MTH F units. I went with his custom run L&N's which I will have weathered, a cataloged CP Rail, these brought back childhood memories, and finally a Southern Pacific dummy A unit. Hopefully by the time these arrive, my new layout will be complete.
I couldn't pass up the MTH Trump garbage truck as well.
Finally, I reached out to Scott at 3rd Rail and inquired about the SD7's in the Southern Pacific tiger stripes. Those are to arrive in February, and if a reservation cancels, I will get one of those.

Got me a 90 year old new to me doorstop!! Finally found a Pratt PRR 0-6-0!
She’ll live a good life here!! Practically knocked another loco off the shelf when I let her out of her shippijg box!! Happy little camper!! The two rail/outside third rail early inventory just continues to grow!!!
@Dennis Holler Dennis, Happy New Year.
Nice to see the Pratt and Lionel PRR 0-6-0's.
What about 3 shelves above the Pratt model, is that O or HO, I assume O scale, what looks like a B&O C-16? I have an HO version which seems to be from MB Austin. How does she run?
Tom
Thanks Tom! The little 0-4-0 is a Thomas Industries 0 scale loco from the late 40’s-50’s. It’s mostly complete but I need to source a properly fitting motor for it. Someday as they say. At least these are out of the box and in front of me to be worked on. In the box is forgotten about to easily!!
@Dennis Holler posted:At least these are out of the box and in front of me to be worked on. In the box is forgotten about to easily!!
Very true statement. I don't have shelves and I've decided to get shelves or sell some stuff because I can't enjoy it. Under the layout in a box is no fun!
And I'm getting too old to crawl under the layout
I found an affordable #53 I was needing for my motorized unit collection. I thought the struts were cracked from the pictures, but when I got it they were perfect. I added my 3D printed window brace. It showed little sign of being run, The original grease was rock hard and the drive wheels would not turn at all. Some disassembly, light oil and a hairdryer to help soften the old grease. Got the old grease worked out and new grease in. The brush plate on the armature showed almost 0 run time. The brushes looked new. Put it on the track and soon found out why. The front wheel set was just slightly too wide and kept derailing. That is why it was a shelf queen. I adjusted the width of the wheel set and now it runs without derailing. Mechanically in new condition. Just some rust where the handrails tend to bend and flake off paint.
A little more cleaning and it will be all ready to go.
It came with a Tie Jector with the same grease lockup. I'll get to that later.

Thank goodness the Lionel tractors are only 1:64 scale, or thereabouts, because the just fit on this flatcar. So the flat car will perform it's duty as intended so that's coooool!
Nice job on the tractors Joe! Just a few tie down chains and your gold!

@coach joe posted:
The Long Island TOFCs that I have are custom runs for the Nassau Lionel Operating Engineers that came with tractors, thus 1:64 instead of closer to scale.. I was looking for naked flatcars so the tractors could ride in the train instead of waiting at a yard for their loads.
These arrived Friday from the NJ HiRailers. Once again, they knocked it out of the park. Growing up in Brooklyn, I would go to Bohack on Nostrand Ave. with my parents.
And two more appropriate shots from Trainstock yesterday…
Finally got a couple of long time wants for reasonable prices from our friends at Trainz.com. First is a Lionel Nathan's 100th Anniversary steel sided reefer brought to us by the Nassau Lionel Operating Engineers. I believe METCA also did some Nathan's cars. Never thought about buying any of them until I saw pictures of Nathan's cars on layouts here on the forum and realized how striking the Yellow and Green was. I kept looking for a Nathan's, any Nathan's car on eBay. Typical prices on the secondary market were way more than I was prepared to spend. Thursday night I saw this one on eBay for a price I was willing to pay, saw it was Trainz, went to the web site and tossed it in my cart.
Next is this MTH RK US Air Force modern tanker. Forgive the blurriness, I thought the camera was focusing on the tank car but now I see it focused on Sally. The back story here is my daughter served 4 years in the Air Force so I've been assembling an Air Force train. I always like this paint scheme but like the Nathan's cars prices on the secondary market were too high for my taste. I had seen this on Trainz before the Nathan's popped up and had it on my wish list so into the cart it went, on top of the Nathan's Reefer.
To round out the order I added this MTH RK Rugged Rails BNSF tanker. I already had two of the Industrial Rail BNSF tankers so I figured I'd add this one in a different paint scheme.

I apparently just forgot where Paul said he got them. While the Lionel NLOE unit isn't the same it sates the appetite just as well.
@Guttersnipe, while Sally doesn't exhibit destructive tendencies, although the Railroad Crossing crossbucks do garner some unwarranted attention at times, as you can see from the photos her "urban sprawl" can take over surrounding structures and scenery. Since my scenery changes with the type of trains running at the time none of it is permanent therefore Godzilla Kitty doesn't cause any real damage.

Well, Joe, if you need another dog or beer refill, NLOE actually did 2 other Nathan’s cars (which I have been meaning to look for) - 58567 (steel sided reefer #83131) and 58568 (steel sided reefer #83132) - both done in 2013. The 100th anniversary car was done in 2016.

Got a746 budget deal. Engine looked good when I got it, tender not so much. Tender is a 2046W with N&W decals added.
The Engine is all original except for 1 bolt and the stipes. It was also missing the headlight lense. Original working smoke unit, e-unit and wiring. The engine was seized from old oil turning hard over time, very hard. You can see some of what turned hard during long term storage.
It took a long session with a hair dryer heating the old gunk to get the engine apart. I had to replace the thrust washers and thrust bearings. Overall light wear on the engine. Oiled it all and it runs nice. The striping on the engine is a redo and then patched. Looks good from 3 feet. Have a lense on order.
The tender took a lot more work with rusty trucks, rotted wires and a siezed motor also. After fixing it up, it is the best sounding of all my Postwar tenders now.

there is definitely a shortage of good model boats and ships in any scale. but due to their scale size, that is understandable, Have you picked up one of the couple of Paddlewheel steamers available

Guttersnipe, thx for reply. I believe that the majority of available nautical models is plentiful in H.O. Scale. I have only made two full scale barges (one cement, one work barge) A full scale rail float, one small steam trawler, most of which typically involve the range of postwar periods in deep water harbor scenes. There are several fine 1/48. Scale paddle boats kits available. They wouldn’t fit my chosen era well.
Of interest to note that before true tug boats made their appearances, paddle boats did all the towing and pushing and were a force to reckon with!
above, a bit off topic but I will enjoy building my cool acquisition and will post progress.
I wasn't looking for this, if I was I would have had one long ago, they always show up when I search NASA on eBay. I guess because some Chevy dealer in Florida would always give the Apollo astronauts Corvettes. When it popped up during one of my searches for $10.35, I had to throw a bid on it. Each Corvette would bring that much, the die cast sprung trucks would easily bring $20-$25 if I wanted to part it out so for that price even with S&H and tax I couldn't resist. I already have a BNSF flat car in this scheme with stakes and bulkheads, I was pleased to see this had a different road number.
Coach Joe! Thx for the reply. And I really like those corvettes! Early sixties vettes? Wow indeed what a deal!
run ‘em in best of health.
Got this new old stock Weaver coal car and scavenged a coal load from another Weaver car at the hobby shop that they agree to sell with it. Also got these new old stock MTH high tension tower set because it was only $30. I'm trying to figure out where they'll go, but I have a national power and light building already so I'll incorporate them somehow.

Heh heh heh, I get a little squirrely on occasion!!!
I realized I had WWII vintage flatcar loads, both US and German as well as current military vehicles on flatcars. Other than a P-38 and P=40 above my layout, I had no rolling stock specific to the WWII Pacific Theater. I found this model of a Japanese Medium Tank (I assembled) and while searching for that, I also found this M29 Weasel amphibious vehicle (3D printed. I mostly just painted it). Never knew the M29 existed.
If you're interested in seeing my collection, here's a YouTube video. Three loops, 65 locos and rolling stock.

It is true that most of the watercraft are in HO scale, When I was spending most of my time in that scale I did a version of the SS Catalina. and even eighty scale feet and being actually a very small ship, it is still almost an actual four feet long. I don't know too many people that can afford that much space on their pikes, One is pretty much limited to Coastal Steamers

Fantastic Production, coupled (railroad term) super music selection. got me to thinking of an old but true story, and I plan to name Names to Justify those that were there. A fellow Model Railroader and musician, Tommy Dial was on his way home on leave from somewhere on the west coast, to La Puente, when he saw three Century 415's working together, he had to stop to watch, as at the time Bill Crain, and Perect Scale minatures had just put out a model of the C415's and we belonged to the club at bill's Shop. the crew spotted him in his uniform and stopped to thank him for his service and found out where he was going. Tommy got a Cab ride all the way to the yard in La Puente. In a parallel piece, we have been talking about boats and ships, the only adition I could suggest would be perhaps a torpedo boat about two and a half feet long, or a LCT about a foot long. If I had the time I'd build it for you

That is a first class collection Ed. You have some beautiful stuff. Love the new Space Force set, and the presidential Locos, I'd be remiss if I didn't say I love all the US and Foreign military equipment'...
I picked up this beautiful Weaver Canadian Pacific G5a from the Big E train show in Springfield this afternoon, and it runs great on TMCC with 4 chuffs per rev and fan smoke. Really nice example of Weaver's late steam offerings, and a good price sealed the deal for me.
It's a bit of a mystery though, as I have no idea why #1229 would be lettered in the "Ohio Central" lettering. Furthering the mystery, the plaque on the bottom of the engine states "03 of 04" and says this is a 2 rail model, which it obviously is not. I believe G5 #1293 was the only G5 locomotive painted in the "Ohio Central" lettering, which may relate to this engine somehow. As far as I know #1293 ran on the Cuyahoga Valley tourist line up in Ohio, hence the lettering. I can't find any other images of this exact model online. If someone has any answers about this please let me know.
Purchased these Lionel pw f3's 2333 Santa Fe which I added a 2343C B-unit, also 2333 NYC had a 2344C B-unit.
As I usually do w/Lionel pw engines, tear them completely apart, go over the wiring, cleaned, greased and oiled each unit. Each set was in very good condition, so they only needed little maintenance. The Santa Fe's are the early ones produced in 1949 w/rubber stamped lettering. NYC's needed the front coupler rebuilt.
I now have all 5 pw Santa Fe F3 sets and all 3 pw NYC F3 sets.
Guttersnipe, thanks for the kind remarks. Great story. I've been looking for a "Navy" addition, in fact a PT Boat, (but not sure if a 1/48 scale model would fit), although I do have a TBF Avenger on a flatcar to Honor George H. W. Bush, but why I didn't include it in the video escapes me. Thank you so much for the offer to build a model. That's a very touching offer in an of itself.

I’ve got several built and unbuilt 1/48 Hellcats, TBF’s and a few others snd always been tempted to use a few to model them being transported on flatcars. I’m just curious how common those planes on flats really was? I think I have seen prototype photos so I get that it happened. Just a curiosity more than anything.

Dennis, yes the TBF was transported by flatcar from the manufacturing plant to the Naval Air Station. Here's what I did. My layout restricts the car to the outer loop, and even then it's iffy. Go Navy!
In my early stages in the hobby, not quite grasping scale, gauge, and selective compression I purchased a 1:48 Huey model kit and Hellcat, F4F I believe, with the folding wings to use as flat car loads on the Lionel flatcars from my youth because the airplane and crane that originally sat on them were lost to time. imagine my surprise upon completing the Huey, it was huge in comparison to the flat car. The Hellcat was a better fit, however it was still too big form the Styrofoam tunnel sitting over the track on one corner of the layout.
Just purchased 4 Lionel Halloween Twilight Passenger cars to go behind my Lionel Transylvania Mikado. Here's a video of the three..just waiting for my observation car to arrive.

Looks great, but I believe they were transported in cradle on their bellies, But the sentiment is still fantastic

Did a quick study. in 1/48 it would measure out to about twenty-six inches by seven. The haul would be the hard part, but there was a Guy in San Diego that would carve any haul you wanted. How can I encourage you to go for it

Anyway, I've been looking at the Menards O Scale Rocket Diner since it came out, so I pulled the trigger and ordered one. Since I live in Silicon Valley, CA, I had to order it, so it shipped from somewhere east of Chicago I imagine. I've ordered other Menards buildings before and they have made to my door reasonably intact. The O Scale Rocket Diner showed up on my front porch today, and I must admit, Menards did a great job packaging it! Here it is still in the tray:
For $111.00 it's pretty darn nice and everything works. I won't be using the smoke unit, it uses water mist and I don't want to subject my Fastrack to that as it can rust. Okay, time to install it, posting that in the "What did you do on your layout today?" thread.
A bit of a birthday present to myself this month, as I hardly ever purchase new trains. Nearly everything I get is of the "pre-loved" variety, but I couldn't pass on a little piece of Pacific Northwest History. This is Northern Pacific #1372 which ran passenger excursions out of Seattle to Snoqualmie in the final years of Steam. I always need a caboose to match and found this interesting piece for the RailKing lineup. It's listed as a "work caboose" but near as I can tell these were never made (or at least documented). Still, it was too cool to pass up so my Ten Wheeler can haul around freight with the Washington mountains in the background.
Made a review of this engine recently on my YouTube channel as well so if you want to see it running or more details of it, you can find it on "Dadified".

I first bought these K-Line NP F-7s on Christmas Day 2022 when I received an Ebay alert to a new listing; sold them on OGR's For Sale/Trade forum Christmas week 2023 because I hadn't used them; and, in response to a WTB posting here Christmas-time 2024, and purely by accident, bought back the same set I'd sold a year earlier from my buyer in anticipation of pulling a 10 car NCL in February.

I just got the Burlington Northern flatbeds from Menards and went immediately to work to add the 3D printed parts that I got at the last train show in Puyallup. I think this is almost a closer simulation than the K Line version that I also have. I still need to paint and make/apply decals for the parts attached to the flatbed. Thoughts?

The fuselage seems to be finished off better on the tail end. I've never seen the real thing so don't know which has a better representation of the space between the fuselage and the parts bin. K-Line mad some nice long flat cars. I believe Menards has a few of their 14-1/2" flat cars still in stock.
Use to see them all the time going threw Renton.
I found these tractors on sale at Ace Hardware last month and put them in the side door pocket and forgot about them until yesterday. They will be a fun addition to my Christmas layout.

I took advantage of the Mr Muffin deal of the day and ordered a Lionel UP FEF steam locomotive. It's being sent to Harry for weathering. Excited to get it and more excited to get my new layout completed.
Since a few commented on "completed," my old layout was torn down when I moved from my old house to my new house, so that took care of that layout. My new layout will be a triple track mainline covering 3 rooms in my basement. Track plan and photos of progress soon. It will be completed when it gets delivered.

Guys are showing lots of cool stuff here, great to see what others are picking up. I picked up a few great American circus passenger cars, and a Santa Fe observation car to bring up the rear. I now have to disassemble the passenger cars and populate them. Looking forward to that project– hope I don't break anything. Fingers crossed. Craig
A pair of Santa Fe engines for $125, now that's quite the deal! And inbrand new condition too, Wow!
I ordered and received two items from Trainz, both were NIB, but one box looked a little tattered on one end. Whenever I find Western Pacific rolling stock that I don't have I grab it. WP stuff is usually hard to find. The Gondola is low end, but still a nice car with sprung trucks. The flatcar is a die-cast chassis and very nicely detailed. I think I'll weather the deck, though.
Happy railroading!

I did, it just arrived but I'm not home with my layout to get it running and have to hope that there will be no issues. Something from my wish list, MTH Premier F-3, YAY! Not the best photo because of the lighting but here it is!

I took advantage of another one of Mr. Muffins daily deals, actually two. I got a UP Challenger, and a caboose to go with it. I also picked up some of the new Atlas Berwick 60' cars two from Mr. Muffin and three from Stockyard express.
John
Got this Decapod from my friend in NC! I'm impressed with the detail on here but then I realized it's MTH Premier. Makes my other smaller Lionel Legacy engines look a little plain. It's not a perfect model but it's been pretty fun to run and my son loves watching all those little wheels making their way around our tighter layout.
those are real beauties!
The voices are back, and they are getting really devious!!! I have been trying to be good… haven’t been checking out websites or monthly auctions of late, so when I saw some posts here about the new Atlas Berwick Box Cars, I wondered why I hadn’t heard about them before (especially since I live not far from Bewick PA where they built the 1:1 versions). They looked amazing, but everyone, including Atlas, were already sold out, so I was safe… or so I thought. While innocently checking Facebook last Friday, I find a post from Grzyboski’s (aka my beloved bad influence of choice!!!) saying he had some in stock. So off goes an email. Luckily I got in on time as they were all gone before the weekend was over. These cars are beautifully detailed, big, and heavy. Atlas definitely had a winner with these!!!
Here is a closeup of the fine details in the doors. They don’t open, but I’m OK with that since I hate it when the doors work their way open while in transit.
And since I was there… just couldn’t resist these two Atlas NOS 45’ trailers (ignore the flat car - that’s all I could find). Other than I love the Alaska Railroad, these struck a chord with me since I took an Alaska vacation a few years ago and when traveling from Denali National Park to Seward, we passed both the Susitna River and the Turnagain Arm. Now I have to keep my eye out for an Atlas 89’ flat car to carry the pair!!!
"and since I was there..." likely story. But I will admit I would've bought those trailers myself.
And since my daughter served four years in the US Air Force I HAD TO BUY this,
and since she spent 6 months of those 4 years she was in the 386th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron stationed at Ali Al Salem Air Base, Kuwait I HAD TO Buy this.
That's one big challenge coin!
