A friend brought me a pair of broken CAB-1's and asked if I could get one working.  I succeeded, but am having a problem with the "beeper" that activates with button pushes.  It's a small round disc affixed to the rear cover.  My problem is I can't seem to solder the beeper wire to the middle part of the disc.  Anyone run into this and have a trick?

Thanks, John.  Using extra flux helped, but I still had problems.  I figured I'd share the technique that worked in case anyone else runs into this issue.

I put a generous glob of flux on the center of the "beeper" disc and then placed a medium sized blob of solder on it.  If you leave the solder blob be and let it cool all the way, it'll adhere to the middle of the disc.  I then made sure to tin my wire very well and soldered it to the top of the blob without letting the blob melt all the way through.  I know this is bad technique and can lead to a cold solder joint, but it was the only way I could make it work.

Thanks again...I love this forum!
