Has anyone needed to replace the antenna on their Cab-1 remotes? I bought one off eBay and the antenna pulls apart in the middle. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Radio Shack used to sell antennas that were slightly different, but could be fitted with a little work. They were designed for the old wireless home telephones, so those antennas are not as readily available as they once were.
These can be made to work.

I modified my CAB1 to use a rubber duck antenna with a BNC Mount, much cleaner.
eBay: 310644580442 and ebay: 222307483965 for the two pieces.
Edit: US source disappeared, so now it's from Hong Kong.
Thank you both for your replies. But I like Johns idea.
You can get them cheaper by a few dollars, but I specified US sellers only for fast shipping.
I will always buy in the U.S. strictly for that reason. I would prefer to buy American when ever I can.
Well, I suspect they get them from China anyway, but at least some of the money stays in the US.
Your question has been answered but this might help someone else. Long ago I found that only a small part of the antenna needs to be extended. So I only pull up the larger fatter part. That makes it much harder to break.
Yep, even the rubber duck antenna was a bit unwieldy at the test bench where I use this one, so I just used an old coax and chopped the shield off and left it about 5" long. Of course, this remote is one of the ones modified for the BNC connection.
My Cab-1 controllers all work fine with the antenna not extended, so no need for a rubber duckie on mind I guess.
