Odd question, but is it normal for the Cab 2 handheld remote to make a high pitch humming noise? Mine makes this noise as soon as it is powered on and continues to do so until powered off. It is only a mild nuisance and everything works as it should, I just want to make sure it is not a symptom of a future problem.

Yep. It's the screen circuitry. Mine does it. It's not real loud. About the same as the Miller Engineering signs.
Specifically its from the backlight. I have my backlight shut off, not because of the buzz, but because it greatly extends the life of the batteries, and I can still read the screen.
As you get older, those high frequencies start to fade, so now it doesn't bother me at all! 
thanks guys. On an unrelated topic...... Is there an option to reduce or increase the tactile sensitivity of the LCD icons? Lionel sent me a replacement remote and the keys are significantly more sensitive than my original. Seems like I am constantly re-entering switch and engine numbers.
