My Legacy Cab 2 will work fine for awhile and then it freezes up. Turning the red control knob does nothing to move the speed bar on the screen and all control of the engine is lost. Is there a fix for this?

Lionel will fix it, under silent warranty. Call for an RA. They probably will pay shipping both ways.
Ted is right about Lionel repairing these under warranty. Having said that, you didn’t provide a whole lot of information. Is this happening with every locomotive? Are your batteries good?
Maybe re-install the software to both the base and Cab2. I personally never heard of this so that would be my first thought. Otherwise back to Lionel and let them fix it under warranty as mentioned above.
