First the obvious. These are one-offs... any overlay must be fitted to the display one is using. Secondly, I do not have any Bluetooth locomotives. Home network, Smsng S9+ w/Cab3 and the Base3 ... grudgingly entering the 21st century.
I have the Cab2 and the Cab1-L and they work just fine with the Base3. However... I'm having a bit of a time seeing, feeling and operating the Cab3. I made an overlay and its working quite well as my thumbs are doing the walking rather than my eyes. I can now operate the trains without having to constantly look at the Cab3. Built into the overlay are two clips at about midpoint left & right... it's snug, pops right off and back on. This is the first prototype and needs to be cleaned up... emphasis added!
I have no plans to purchase any Bluetooth locomotives... however, I do plan on upgrading some of the older TMCC locos to Blunami so it is probably a good time to start playing around with app control.
I am still not happy with the size of the Samsung S9+ at 6.2 inches. The smallest tablet I have been able to find that still fits 'comfortably' in my hand is the Amazon Fire 7". Here is a rough print of the Amzn Fire 7" compared to the Samsung 6.2".
