Hello all!! I just purchased my first Lionel train-set, Pennsylvania Flyer (Lioncheif), set it up last night and must say it is a blast to watch it go.
One question i have is would it be possible to add lighting to the interior of the caboose and if so how and what would i need to buy to make this happen.
Another question i have is that the light on the rear of the tender does not light up so pretty much for decoration i guess. Would it be possible to add a light to this as well and if so how and what would i need purchase.

Thank you for the help.

John has it right.

Lionchief is an entry level train, which means it is limited to basic features in general.

They are good for introducing folks to the hobby.

Higher cost engines and cars have more details and lighting.

Optionally, you can buy a lighted caboose for a decent price but a higher level engine is going to cost more than the set. That means adding the light is a better way to go in that case. Not sure if there is a way to trigger it by going in reverse on a LC train. My Polar Express doesn't have a back up light either, I don't worry about it, the kids never notice.

Welcome to the madness. Bottom line: Have Fun!
