Hi Everyone,

I'm helping with this project to have a O Guage layout for the public (mostly kids) at the Railroad Society here. It's a large conventional type layout mostly running classic and some recent productions of steam engines.

Essentially there are two track directions one east and one west at the passenger station. Each direction will have 3 sets of trains, a total of 6 engines pulling passenger cars. At the passenger station 2 of the 3 trains will be stationed there and when the arrive one comes into the empty turn out, 1 of the 2 trains in the station will depart.

I was given the task of figuring out how to wire the switches so when one train arrives the other one departs. We are using Z-Stuff and I have the diagrams they gave us, but I'm finding it tricky given that I have very little experience with these items. The confusing part for me was using 4 switches total instead 2 the diagram has. I'm not sure if the RC Switches need to have the inside common rail isolated like the Lionel Switches for the auto derailing feature to work.

If someone would be able to guide me or draw on my pictures on how to wire them properly for 4 switches I would appreciate it. Below I have all the pictures I think is needed for this. I put captions on what they are too.

Thanks in Advance

This is what the passenger station will look like, give or take the inside tracks. The switches will be directly connected to each other like that.

This is the diagram I was given to have a automated layout once one engines starts moving each direction.

I use my own parts and relays, a fundamental version is shown here

On my layout each passing siding holds 2 trains which alternate in opposite directions. I use Ross Tinplate turnouts and throw them with a relay. It combines the circuit linked with this circuit.

A timer delays when a train departs after on arrives. Trains are started with a soft start circuit.
