Can a PS-1 bottom board be turned into an E-unit?

Yes they can be used as a standard e unit.  Take a look at an e unit without PS1.  There are two rows of 8 connections.  One of the rows should have two jumpers right next to each other.  Remove the PS1 board from the unit you want to modify and add those two jumpers.  Hopefully I have remembered correctly and you should now have a functional e unit without PS1.

Does that mean that they will work on a chopped waveform transformer also when the original PS-1 did not?

If this is possible, could someone please post a photo or diagram of how to do it? I have a PS1 diesel that works fine for now, but I’d like to still be able to run it if the PS1 board ever goes bad.  I know I could put in a Williams or QSI reverse board too.  Thanks!
