Reading some older posts on missing watchdog>starting in conventional and runaway issues in DCS mode. Using a Z4000 >WBBBBB resets to conventional allowing F/N/R. Further discussions suggested WBBB to lock it in neutral to eliminate runaway in conventional or DCS mode. My question is can this be done using a Z Controller and a Z500 combo? Should this be done to all PS2/3 engines run in DCS mode for precaution?

Yes, yes it can and you ll have to do it a few times to get the timign right but Ive done it quite a few times

Absolutely, yes it can. You should be able to do this with most, if not all, transformers that have both Bell and Whistle/Horn buttons.
