I am burning a week's vacation starting this weekend. I plan to visit a number of places and I'm hoping that some of you can fill me in on what's hot and what's not.
I live in Newnan, GA, about 26 miles south of Atlanta's airport. The only thing I've booked thus far is a room in Cleveland, TN. I'm going to drive up there on Friday night.
That will set me up to be 0:30 from Chattanooga and 1:15 from Knoxville on Saturday morning. My ultimate destination northbound is Berea, OH.

I just railfanned Wauhatchie and Bridgeport, AL a few weeks ago, so I don't want to waste much  time around Chattanooga. Besides, that's an easy reach for me anyhow.
So how are the following places along my way?
Knoxville
Lexington
Cincinnati
Columbus
Willard/Greenwich

I plan to return via Pittsburgh, Altoona, Cumberland (Sand Patch), Roanoke and Spartanburg. I know I can count on dense traffic at Pittsburgh, Altoona and Roanoke. Sand Patch has often been a disappointment when I've visited. The scenery is great but often the traffic has been off. Spartanburg seems promising, though I've never spent a lot of time there.

Thanks in advance...
