What does "...can't download..." mean? Specifically WHAT HAPPENS?
What you have told me is the equivalent of going to the doctor and telling him you don't "feel good" and expecting him to cure you. I need much more to go on.
Right-click on the photo in the post you want to download, left-click on "Save Image As", when the dialog box comes up left-click "Save" box, optionally renaming the file or navigating to a different folder to save the picture in before clicking on "Save".
Hi Rich, sorry I wasn't more precise. Here is the scoop. I write my post. I then click on the "upload attachment" option and then I get the file chooser box but I cannot get to a file.
I have down loaded 100's of pictures on previous posts with never a problem. I recently changed my browser to FireFox. When reading posts, I have no problem seeing the pictures.
And, yes, I rebooted twice.
Thanks for your prompt response and help. Incidentally, base on recent events, I trust you more than I do my doctor!
Jim
We are actually talking about UPLOADING files FROM your computer TO the forum, correct? We are not talking about DOWNLOADING files FROM the forum TO your computer.
When you click on "Add Attachments", does this window appear?
Or does the window look like this, with no "Upload Files" button showing?
If you have the normal image with the Upload Files button, what happens when you click on it?
Rich, thanks again for your help. I was getting the window without the "Upload Files" button. I updated Java to the new version that is only a few weeks old and still did not get the correct window.
It occurred to me that I had not tried to upload files to my posts since I switched to the FireFox browser so I switched back to Internet Explorer and brought the site up using Internet Explorer as the browser and everything worked fine.
It is beyond me why, but my grandson's office manager is my expert and she is coming over later to determine why the site doesn't work for me through FireFox.
Again, thanks so much for your help and have a great evening,
Jim
Believe it or not, if you were to click where the "Upload Files" button is supposed to be, it would probably work.
I'm puzzled by this, but it is something within your Firefox setup. I use Firefox every day and have no problems with it. It is my preferred browser.
