I have 6 remote/command switches that were purchased from as early as last year to just weeks ago, all have been previously used with DC wall-packs and a LC set.

Track is now powered by a PH-180, all switches function perfectly with the remote.

NONE of the switches will go into program mode when the button is depressed. Tried all combinations of 1-2 second presses and much longer as well.

(intent is to program/pair with an LCS WiFi running in “no-base” mode and using the iOS app)

Any ideas? Is it possible that the DC wall pack use previously has fried all the boards? It’s the only thing they have in common that I can think of. But seems odd that they function perfectly otherwise?

HELP! Thanks!

Hunt for an original (and affordable) Cab1 base and handheld, or the (currently out-of-stock everywhere) Legacy-capable Cab1L base and handheld.

If you choose to go the ASC2 route without a base, then you'll need to build up an LCS system that starts with the LCS power connector, WiFi module, ASC2, and PDI cables.  Then you'll have to use a app-based controller that connects to the LCS WiFi to control the switches.  Additional components required are an additional power feed to the ASC2 to drive the relays and perhaps  an iPad to host the Lionel LCS App.

Note: the Base3, when available, incorporates the WiFi and LCS power components.

The original Cab1 kit is the simplest and cheapest way to get a TMCC signal on your layout while you wait for the Cab3.
