HI, need some help with TMCC system. Can I use a test track (5 S tracks total) to try out TMCC with my DCS? Nothing seems to work. I down load TMCC eng. into the remote, Move sw back to run, hit start up - nothing works. Thanks, Art

Where do you have the wire from the Lionel command base (aka the track antenna wire) going? Also, are you sure the wall wart power supply for the tmcc command base has all three prongs and is connected to an outlet with good earth ground?
Do you have the cable that runs from the tiu to the command base?
Dcs remotes taks to tiu, cable relays info to command base, command base to tmcc engine.
Chuck - Ant. wire is going to U on ZW and a wire from U runs to outside rail of test tracks.
Using 3 prong outlet and 3 prong plug with ext cord (3 prong) going 6 ft to 3 prong wall outlet. Art
Gregg: Yes, I have cable from MTH to connect DCS to TMCC base. Art
Make sure you have the TIU to command base cable the right way around. The ends are marked as to which way to hook it up, and it won't work reversed. You can guess how I found this out!

Do you know the TMCC address of the engine you're trying to add to the dcs remote?
Adding to the dcs remote goes something like this.
Under engine set up .... Add TMCC engine,
a list of letters and numbers appear. Name the engine anything you want and hit the "D" for done. Now a list of TMCC IDs shows up. This is the ID number you would use running the engine with a caB-1 . . Select this ID number. If things go right you'll find the TMCC add in the inactive list. Select it to bring it to the active list. select it again and hit start up. DCs will actually let you go through all the motions even though you may not even have a engine on the track.
Lets say you don't know what the TMCC address is.. Make up a ghost engine as above and now you can use the EDIT TMCC address command. . Follow the dcs remotes on screen instructions.... place run /program sw to program. you'll know if you get it right because you should get a short whistle blast indicating the TMCC address took. Good luck
