I got a MTH flat with bulldozer off the forum and the treads on the dozer have disintegrated. I have a Lionel that did the same thing. Does anyone sell those treads? Has anyone ever repaired these treads/tracks before?

MTH 30-7618 is the part number of the depressed flat can with the ERTL D6R cat bulldozer.
Only $1 starting bid + shipping on Ebay, search by part number.
Likely cheaper than buying the parts from MTH or ERTL if they have them.
I would just fake the missing tracks with painted rubber bands.
Is there a brand name on the bulldozer anywhere? MTH generally buys these loads from toy companies. Anyway, there are people who make replacement parts for these toys. If you find the brand name of the dozer, you can google it and see who has parts.
If you only need to re-join a break or two, the rubber band suggestion is simple. Try produce department at grocery store. Not quite "Caterpillar Yellow" but no painting required and with all the construction dirt you probably won't notice the color mismatch!

Or you could contact one of the Dinky die-cast parts people and maybe source a compatible item.

Before you put to much effort into finding the part/s, will that rivet? that the blade arm pivots on remove and replace, without damaging things beyond repair? If you can't remove that blade arm without damage, I don't know how you could replace the track.

Going out on a limb, here.... Norscot, a mfr of die cast construction equipment, seems to have a pretty good 'lock' on CAT licensing of models of their equipment. You might try contacting them to see if they have some suggestions.
Doug makes a good point....I'd study that riveted blade frame to see if it's fairly removable/replaceable. Could be an Achilles Heel for this effort.
When everything is considered, however, you can find some pretty good 1:50 die cast construction models to put on that flatcar. Not all of them are astronomically pricey, either.
Another suggestion...Should you have a Caterpillar dealer close by, you might pay a visit. Sometimes they have die cast models of their equipment for sale. Or....find a forum where toy restoration is seriously discussed. I know there are cottage industries out there who provide tires, wheels, ....other parts to restore some toys. Maybe someone makes these vinyl/rubber tracks.
I've had several of this sort of construction/military toy....inexpensive variety...that have the vinyl tracks. Most of them have cracked/separated with age. Seems to be fairly common/irreversible....like the ravages of 'Zinc Pest'!

Stan2004, That's a great solution for a static flat car load. You could position the repair on the bottom, in contact with the flat car deck and it wouldn't even be noticeable.
