Can we get this SD70ACE as a centennial unit

Even though I have deep political opinions, I agree that keeping  politics out of trains or sports etc. is a good thing. I like the idea, but would worry about the durability of the banners.

Your idea is a good one, a 1776 Independence Day inspired (Liberty Bell, Founding Fathers, Declaration of Independence, etc.) would be popular. Like a Norman Rockwell "Saturday Evening Post" cover, lots of themes to select from, I certainly would place an order.

Anything that sells is fine with me. I can do without those banners, however.

Lou, I think Mrhobby's intent was more of a red, white and blue parotitic themed engine.  I'm not a fan of the bunting either...  I'd be in for #1776, Happy Birthday America, w/ a small tasteful amount of fire works graphics.

Exactly and give it a special sound set example being have one of the 5 horns be a firework or one of the bells be firecrackers and instead of hail to the chief make it stars and stripes forever by John Sousa.
