Can we say more Santa Fe?

Here is my U28CG, same cab # as yours, Dave.

I now have a train up to 16 cars, and am adding an additional U28 to pull it, with a different cab #

The ATSF did not have a dome-obs.  But the trains look generlly like the TEXAS CHIEF in the 1960's.

I did see a U30CG once in freight colors at Newton KS.  Odd beast.

Is that Super O track on the first layout.

Dominic, yes that is SuperO.  It is one great track system. The closest three rail track to scale.

I’m looking forward to “saying more Santa Fe” when the plated stainless Legacy F-units arrive, along with some plated stainless MTH passenger cars to go with them.

Here is an assemblage of Santa Fe items in my layout supply. My old Hobby Shop Business cards created by hand in the 1990's, some Legacy PA's, plus everyone needs a Santa Fe caboose!

Looking great David. Glad to see that you are enjoying them. However, the cars are from the early 90's -- probably 92 or 93. They really are beautiful ALUMINUM cars.

Nice looking U28CG OP!

Here's a blue bonnet SD40. Lionel did a great job getting the road specific details down. I found a prototype picture off google images below. 

Nice photos David. There really is something special about the ol Super Chief, regardless of which model is hauling, huh? 

Sheesh--get some Pennsy on that layout!!

I think the new additions look great!

Love the "cute caboose" sign is that a tin sign. Priceless!!!!

I'm gonna be a wet rag here and remind folks that these tin cheesecake "advertising" signs available from a mail-order house have no basis in actual railroad advertising art.
