Hello everyone. Can you give me some information? I was wondering if you can give me some ideas of which books offer me tips and ideas on electrical, scenery, I do have Dennis Brennan's book but was wondering about any more books out there. Thank you every one

This one is not bad for a general idea on the basics of wiring. A fairly recent release I believe.
Wiring Your Toy Train Layout (2nd Edition) by Peter H. Riddle
Book is about the size of a sheet of paper, there is another smaller size one (slightly different title) that I didn't think was as good. Both by Kalmbach (CTT), I think.
Also, forum member Dale H has a bunch of really good info & wiring diagrams at his blog site. See one of his posts for site info. And watch the posts of others also (gunrunnerjohn is another), lots of great info is passed along right here!

Model Railroad Scenery From the Kalmbach Bookstore. Click on the underlined phrases to link.
Two good books for starting out -- "101 Model Railroad Track Plans," and Track "Planning for Realistic Operation." Both are geared primarily towards H.O., but you double the dimensions for O scale (2-rail) or increase them by about 50% (except for height which you have to double) for 3-rail O gauge.
Hope this helps.
Thank you to everyone for your reply's I'm will check them all out. Any one else have any ideas on books I need to check out ?
As far as electrical work is concerned, I've found Mr. Peter Riddle's wiring books useful:
Sorry for the different sizes of pictures. Volume 1 (black cover) is a primer, Volume 2 (yellow cover) is intermediate and Volume 3 (blue cover) is advanced. The books were published by Greenberg.

Scot,
For scenery and general model railroading, the most inspiratonal book I have read (has lots of pictures also) is "John Allen's Gorre and Daphetid". I believe it is out of print, but once in a while a copy becomes available - check Amazon. I read mine about once a year, and have been doing for the past 30 years. Granted, the Gorre and Daphetid was* an HO layout, but the details and ideas apply to any scale.
* It burned down.

If you're at all interested in implementing DCS, everything you could ever want to know and a whole lot more is all in "The DCS O Gauge Companion 2nd Edition", now available for purchase as an eBook or a printed book from MTH's web store site! Click on the link below to go to MTH's web page for the book!
There are many, many books out there, however, very few that have been written in this century. Very few being written in the 1980's or 1990's. Our very own Allan Miller did a good job in his book on Lionel.
Scot, here's a classic with lots of basic information. I started with Dad's copy.
Amazon has it listed.
Let us not forget those wonderful HO Model Railroad magazines that inspired us as kids. I have every issue dating back to 1959, I still pick up one and read it today, there is nothing that can replace them...
Next are back issues of OGR...
Any books by John Armstrong or Linn H Westcott are a fantastick read.
I remember falling asleep reading this book everynight as a kid...

The books (last century) I've gotten, have left things short IMO. I think you'd find much better (and up-to-date) information right here on the forum. Also, with all the videos out there in cyberspace it should be easy to find something.
I'd look here on the forum before I spent any $$$ on books.
