Thanks for sharing. It brought back so many memories. Back in the early days, when the CP ran through Pennsylvania the train's eastern version originated in Scranton. Except for one year, I was always the Pilot for this train when it arrived at Steamtown. Meeting the train on the CP at the at Hyde Park, in the dark, was the beginning of our two day experience of readying the train for its first show and subsequent visits along the line in the eastern US. When the tail end would pass me at the switch to the Pocono main, I was greeted with a friendly "its Earl - A" . Over the years they came to trust me with the logistics of getting the train fueled, including power cars and all, and keeping the many workers safe while local freights and two Steamtown trains shared the small yard, and having the train ready for its last move just before show time. The dispatcher and I were joined at the hip throughout the whole affair. I loved the challenge and enjoyed working with CP folks at many levels. I have a nice collections of hats from the crew and great memories from those days. I even rode along on the head end a couple of times to the next stop in Binghamton NY. Thanks again for posting this video.

Actually, I have two observations:
1. The rest of the year?
2. If a company, or person, really wanted to show it truly cared, it or the person, would give anonymously, so not to gain ANY PR or IRS points. All need to help out, but as many sages and philosophers have said and or written, it is impropper to crow about it.
The CP "Holiday Express" deserves a great song to go with it, and if I may be so bold as to say my original song, "The Rocky Mountain Christmas Express" is THE song. Hope you think so, too.
