Cannot Connect 5 AIUs to TIU

Just tried using a different handheld remote, pressed the "read" button, and all 5 AIUs were found.

Not sure how a different remote could affect finding the AIUs, but it did.

All is OK, now to program some switches and uncoulpers.

Does the remotes have the same version of DCS on the screen when powered up?

If so you can try a remote reset on the problem one and see if it will communicate with all 5 AIU

A factory reset of the problem remote might be a good idea as well.

   Your original hand held remote may have had week batteries, try replacing them with new ones, and then use the red button and see what happens.

I have charged the batteries in the one remote, and will try again this evening. If I still have a problem, I will check the version of the remote, and then try a factory reset if things still don't work.

I will report my findings tomorrow.

After charging the batteries in the remote that could only see one of my 5 AUIs, it was able to read all 5 OK.

It looks like I have to program all 3 of my remotes separately for them to be able to control the switches and uncouplers.

I think there is a way to add everything into 1 remote and then cloning that information into your other remotes. You may need your computer to do this.

Is that the function that doesn't work in the DSL Loader 2.3?  You may need Loader 2.2 to do that.

Remote backup & restore, aka "cloning", works fine using Loader Program 2.3. I do this on a regular basis, every time I add an engine, switch or accessory.

That's why it was phrased as a question.   I looked back and the function that was left out of 2.3 is reading the locomotive sound file back, right?

If you mean that 2.3 doesn't have the ability to save the original sound file from an engine, then you are correct.

That's what I was remembering, I knew one of the save functions didn't work.
