Cannot remove RJ12 cable from AIU

You may have to push the cable lightly into the jack and then use a "tool" (screw driver, etc.) of some sort to fully depress the tab for removal to be sure it is fully released. Don't yank hard if it doesn't come out, something has to be caught.

Hi BobByd - I did try that but it still will not come out, I am going to try it again. If I still cannot remove it I will just leave it alone. I only wanted to remove the cable just to get it out if the way for some other wiring crossing in that area.

If you need to avoid the "basket weaving" of cables issue can you remove the other end instead?

I use a very small flat blade screwdriver to press the tab down, and then wiggle the connector in all four directions until it releases.

This was, IMO, a poor choice for the connectors on the TIU and remote.  The sockets they use on both allow the connector to seat too deep and you can't easily depress the release tab.

Have you gotten the connector out?

GunRunnerJohn - Thanks as well, have tried this and still the cable will not come out. Yes I acn remove the cable from the AIU however I wanted to resolve the TIU situation.
