Interesting timing. I was just going through a old 1952 Trains & Travel magazine. On the back page was a full page ad for Magnus solid bearings. In the ad it stated "they were the low cost bearings that worked 33% better in winter than the other type of bearings." Don't know how they come up with this but they say "right for railroads, in performance, in cost."
Another interesting thing about the animated spot. UPA did it. They were big time, making Mr. Magoo and many other "new" art animation. Timken paid some big bucks for this film. Don
