Darn, I forgot about the nose stripes on the "F Units"! I was just thinking of the "BURLINGTON ROUT" nose emblem.
Concerning the "E Unit" front nose treatment, I had to have the black stripes and nose emblem custom made, some years ago, since the Champ decal set was LONG GONE. I was able to "borrow" the correct Champ set from my custom painter buddy, and then had the man from Rail Graphics (in Elgin, IL) duplicate some sets for me.
And of course, depending on the era you are modeling, don't forget that the Q changed the black E-unit nose stripes to red. I believe this happened around 1955, but the Q experts could advise us for sure.
Black nose stripes to red began in May 1959, with the delivery of the Chinese Red SD24's.
Thanks Mark S, I knew it wouldn't take long to get an answer from a Q expert!
An additional thought: CB&Q red nose stripes would be post-steam era, as the last use of Burlington steam in regular service was Jan 1959. Except for fan trips, which would include 2-8-2 #4960, 4-8-4 #5632 and 2-10-4 #6315.
OK. Who sells the decals then?
Thanks
Dick
I'll see if I still have the scanned artwork, If you have a lazer printer you can print them on clear decal paper

Contact the Burlington RR Historical Society, and see if they have any remaining. I gave my excess nose decals to them.
What are you applying them to? If you don't mind me asking
A pair of Weaver E units.
CBQER, I just sent you an email regarding Q decals. Would appreciate any help you have.
I also have a pair of Williams E7's and installed a P&D passenger pilot. A great improvement.

CBQER your email profile address was not delivered so I will post my question to you below:
I see that you recently were looking for some CB&Q E8/9 decals. I'm in the same boat as I have a couple of the Vision Line E8/9's and want to letter them with MY railroad. I really don't care if the nose strips are red or black.
Did you find someone that has them or that can make them? I would really appreciate any help and info you have.
I'v been modeling the Q for over 60 years now, both in HO and more recently in O gauge.
Thanks, Ray
