CC II Niagara

I am running the CC II Niagara and noticing that the engine is not a fast runner. I use a ZW 275 transformer without any supplemental control. I measure the voltage at the motor and it was 15.1 vdc. Any thoughts?

Well, 15 volts on the motor is pretty much flat out I would imagine, don't know what's happening there. Could there be something amiss like a drive line coupler slipping?

Have you changed out the gears yet? The plastic ones break. Lionel has replacement brass gears.
