Celebrate Tinplate - Dec 2012 Redux

I remember checking that video out even into March of this year 

For my entry into December 2012, I humbly submit these images of the layout I finished last night.

I have had standard gauge up in the past, but wow!  They are huge compared to the O gauge buildings.  

I purchased a few dozen Plasticville buildings from a friend who was moving to her retirement home across the state this summer.  So my village is much more populated than in the past.

The 384 and red cars seem perfect for Christmas.  Happy Holidays to all! 

I like your setup under the tree, Tim. You said the population increased with your Plasticville Buildings, what is the latest census count?

My lone addition to the tinplate fleet this Christmas - an LCT 2655 in RailBox regalia.  I had to pick this up as an homage to my N-scale days, when one couldn't have enough RailBox cars for those long unit trains:

ALERT ALERT ALERT - DEVELOPING: 

BEAVERTON, OREGON "Scale Cops" threaten to shut down the layout.  The Christmas layout is found to be in violation of the 1:48th scale law.  Cursory reports claim that  Santa may have escaped in a 1:24 red Barchetta and is now safely back at the North Pole...

or did he?!?

UPDATE

A unidentified witness took this photo during Santa's escape.  Photo forensics teams are looking into objects and person or persons unknown depicted in the image.   One witness described a blue outhouse dropping from the sky followed by the appearance and disappearance of a large green man...

This reporter attempted to contact Mrs Claus at her home in the North Pole, but her personal assistant stated that he could not confirm or deny that Santa was home, and Mrs Claus is unavailable for comment.

With the help of the Metropolitan Police, Holmes and Watson accompany the mysterious giant blue "Police Call Box" by Christmas rail to Scotland Yard.
