I have an Atlas 3 rail GP35 with electro couplers, and would like to change then out for manual couplers. Do they make them for this engine?
Thanks,
Steve

What kind of "manual" couplers? Do mean the Kadee O SCALE couplers?
Same type like Williams by Bachmann engines.
Same type like Williams by Bachmann engines.
Sorry but, I have no idea what those would be.
Do you mean dummy 3 rail couplers? The ones that don't open?
No, not a dummy coupler. Williams engines have non electric operating couplers that work with a pull down button type. Just like a normal operating couple on freight cars.
Thanks
Steve
Have you asked Atlas? I'm sure you can get couplers for that engine.
Steve,
I don't think Atlas made manual couplers for there engines. Measure the lenght of the coupler. I have some Williams that should work. You can have them for the price of shipping.

Most Atlas engines use a common 2" coupler. Lionel refers to the mount as type "B". If you have a Williams engine try taking one from that engine and verify the fit. If it works post on the wanted to buy forum you are looking for these. Folks who upgrade Williams engines usually have them from take offs.
Looks like Bill also posted this.

I have a bunch of those as well...
You are looking for couplers like these. Atlas usually had shorter ones than 2" Note the picture of an Atlas SD 35 coupler, (third photo). Shortest couplers were 1.5", my experience. There is also a different mounting, that Atlas referred to as an articulated coupler. (2nd picture, top). Spring, T-bar, washer, and retaining C-clip are used on either the electro-coupler or mechanical coupler.
To Norton, Gunrunner John, Boxcar Bill, and Mike CT. Thanks to all for the advise, and the pictures Mike. I'll check these out when Christmas settles down and get back to you. Merry Christmas to you and your families.
