Hi guys, I’ve just been getting into DCS for the first time and I had a couple of questions regarding changing the chuff rate on two of my steam locomotives.
1. How do you change the chuff rate on the DCS remote?
2. How do you change the chuff rate on the MTH DCS premium app?
3. What is the correct chuff rate for a 4-8-4 Northern T-1 and a 4-6-2 Light Pacific?

The correct chuff rate for most non-articulated 2-cylinder locomotives is four chuffs for each driver revolution.
On the DCS Remote...
I don't have the DCS Premium App, so I can't answer that one.
Thanks John! Hopefully someone else has had experience with this on the MTH App.
On the app it's in the settings (gear icon) you'll see the option for chuff rate.
Most later PS2 and PS3 factory engines came with 4 chuffs/rev
True Chris, but it's not always set right in the configuration. 
I changed the gear ratio in an MTH Hudson. I adjusted the chuff back to 4 per revolution by painting some of the flywheel stripes black. Seemed to work fine - now if I could only get a factory reset so I can hear whistle and bell . . .
