I don't know if this is the right forum for this subject, but after seeing Breakheart Pass for the nth time, I thought it be neat to acknowledge Charles Bronson for what a good actor and movie he starred in, with outstanding train scenery in the western mountains, probably the best train shots of any movie I've ever seen. I always liked Charles Bronson because he appeared a regular guy, with regular expressions and mannerisms. The music score in Breakheart Pass is dam good, too.

He also made a lessor known movie with both diesels and steam trains in it, called "Hard Times" where he played a bare-fisted street fighter during the Great Depression.

Then, there's Once Upon a Time in the Old West, with a memorable train scene in the beginning. He also made a movie called Red Sun that has trains in it, but I can't remember if I ever saw it.

Charles was born in the Allegheny Mountains near Johnstown, Pennsylvania coal country, and his given name was Charles Buchinsky. He worked in the coal mines as a young lad to help his family during the depression. He served in the US Air Corps in WWII and was awarded the Purple Heart. He died in 2003.

There's not too many actors these days, if any, like Charles Bronson, Lee Marvin, and Steve McQueen, all of whom were veterans. I don't know the history of them all, but the movie "Hard Times" certainly seems appropriate for Charles Bronson.
