It appears Charles Ro is not having it's traditional open house sale this November. It's usually this weekend. I see something about a National Railroad day event on 12/5/15. And I don't see anything leaked yet about a black Friday sale. Anyone heard or seen any good rumors? Regardless, I frequently browse the Charles Ro web site for S gauge items but see a relatively small inventory of "S" items listed. Anything in the pipeline or is this the new norm at Charles Ro? Just curious...

I believe the 12/05/15 date is an event Lionel is promoting and trying to get all their dealers across the country to participate in. It's not just Charles Ro specific. Maybe Ro just moved their usual event to the Lionel event date?
I would not mind picking up one of the IC U33Cs if they get marked down a little more. Or maybe even a SF Y3.

It would be nice to know when Chas Ro has the sale. It's about an hour's ride for me from NH and I need my Lionel/MTH fix.

Matt, I am from southern NH too. This weekend there is a Greenberg Train show in Wilmington Mass. All scales but there is a fair amount of O/3 rail there.

Attached is Charles Ro flyer regarding 12/5/15, event. Note indication of "sale" but as mentioned previously the S gauge inventory appears to be at rather low levels. In addition, I've "heard" via other forum postings, the new Berkshire engines are not going to be at dealers until mid December. FWIW

George,
Thanks for the heads-up. We hit most all spring & fall Greenberg Wilmington shows. I go with a friend who models HO. We both have plenty to look at there. No where near as good as it used to be. The nice thing about Chas Ro is that it brings back that feeling of going to the train store (Madison Hardware) when I was a kid and could get into NY.
