I made the two hour drive to North Charleston for the annual show at Danny Jones Armory on Laccawanna St, just 1.5 mi from the Rivers Ave. Exit of I-526. The show has expanded to two buildings, with more O gauge than in the past. I picked up a few building kits, an HO scale tractor trailer and some other small odds and ends. There were a few good deals, but nothing that grabbed me. Still it was lots of fun to browse. Lewis Collier of Memory Station had many tables and lots of Lionel as well as two cartons of Atlas cars NIB for $35 each. The prices on Williams stuff varied but there were no outright steals. There were two older UP GP-9s (power and dummy) which looked to be new in the box with the Ott sound system (True Sounds) for $150. Admission was $5. The show continues tomorrow and is definitely worth a look if you are in the area. There is also a show next week in Myrtle Beach. That's a 3 1/2 hour drive, but I'm going to give that one a look, too. There aren't a lot of train shows that have a lot of O gauge stuff in SC, so you have to take advantage when you can.
