We were there two years ago and found it to be a really terrible experience.  The head house is beautiful...nicely restored, and the restaurant in the concourse is excellent.  That said, the rooms were dingy and leaked profusely in a rain storm.  The railcars were rusting with windows fogged and steps literally falling off.  The on-site streetcar was severely curtailed because the track was in terrible condition.

Recommend that you visit the facility, enjoy the historic terminal building and the restaurant and stay someplace decent!

Unless the owner has invested since we were there, our take on the condition of the rooms was VERY different.  We had people staying in both "out buildings".  Both had rooms with mildew odors, worn carpets and paint, curtains off the hooks or tracks...all in all -  not inviting and not worth the rates they were charging.  The Manager did agree t reduce our rates because of the unhappy experience.

They need a major chain with a willing commitment of funds to refurbish the rooms and the railcars.  I believe the concept is a good one but does not live up to the hype.

Wasn't that originally the "Choo Choo Hilton"?
